Immigration Legal Clinic: New Volunteer Training (Virtual)
This session will cover the basics of the asylum process, the asylum application, and specific tasks volunteers can assist with at our twice-monthly in-person legal clinics in Brooklyn or by supporting LGBTQ+ asylum seekers online and in person between meetings. No prior legal knowledge required.

RUSA LGBTQ+ and SAFE Asylum invite volunteers interested in helping with the immigration legal clinic to join us for a virtual volunteer training (in English). This session will cover the basics of the asylum process, the asylum application, and specific tasks volunteers can assist with at our twice-monthly in-person legal clinics in Brooklyn or by supporting LGBTQ+ asylum seekers online and in person between meetings.
No prior legal knowledge or special skills are required. Your help can make a real difference in the lives of those seeking safety and support.
