us
qaravan, headquartered in New York City, is a community-based, nonprofit organization of Eurasian LGBTQ+ people, women, and other people with intersectional identities and their allies. In solidarity with other grassroots groups, qaravan builds the power of people to change unjust policies, discriminatory societal attitudes, and oppressive ideologies to create a more equitable world.
qaravan was formed in 2008 and registered as a nonprofit organization in 2022.

Ekaterina Dostovalova

Coordinator, Rainbow Connections
Ekaterina leads Qaravan’s Rainbow Connections mentorship program, supporting LGBTQIA+ immigrants and asylum seekers. She matches participants with volunteers for language practice, city navigation, and mutual care — helping foster trust, belonging, and community resilience.
Svetlana Stoli

Performance Artist & Emcee
Svetlana Stoli is a distinguished drag performer, vocalist, and host based in New York City. With an extensive background in the performing arts and a commitment to LGBTQ+ advocacy, she has established herself as a cornerstone of the immigrant queer community and the Manhattan nightlife circuit.
