SMS Terms

1. The program

QARAVAN Event Reminders is a text message program of QARAVAN (legal name RUSA LGBTQ Corp.). We text from +1 (844) 720-1207: confirmations when you sign up for an event, reminders before it, updates from our team about it, and sign-in codes you ask for. If you organize an event and choose texts, we also text you when its guests send the organizers a question, never between 9 PM and 9 AM New York time. We may also invite you by text to other QARAVAN events, at most 2 such invitations a week. If you also opt in to news, we may text you occasional QARAVAN news. By joining the program, you agree to these terms.

2. Consent

When you give us your mobile number to sign up for an event on qaravan.org, you agree to get recurring texts about the events you sign up for. You get news only if you opt in separately: with the box at sign-up, in My profile or on our text messages page. You don’t have to agree to texts to sign up for or attend any event; you can sign up with an email instead. Please give us only a number that is yours or that you have permission to use.

3. Message frequency

Message frequency varies.

4. Cost

Message and data rates may apply. Your wireless provider can tell you what your plan includes.

5. Opting out

You can opt out at any time: reply STOP (or СТОП) to any text. You’ll get one message confirming that you’re unsubscribed, and no more texts from the program after that. To start again, reply START (or СТАРТ).

6. Carriers

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

7. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information. We don’t share mobile numbers or text message consent with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. When we do, we’ll post the new version here with a new effective date.
