Peer Support Group

Once a week we meet on Zoom to talk about life here as it actually is: waiting on paperwork, looking for work and housing, family far away, feeling alone in a big city.

The main group rule: what’s said in the group stays in the group.

First and last name

What are your pronouns?

So the group addresses you the right way.

We rarely call, but we need a phone number.

The group is for LGBTQ+ people who live in the US and speak Russian. Is that you?
Can you come to meetings regularly?
Can you find 15 minutes for a Zoom intro before your first meeting?
  1. We keep it confidential. We don’t retell or write about what members say at meetings.
  2. No aggression. We treat each other with respect.
  3. Openness, and everyone takes part. We speak about ourselves, in the first person.
  4. No national feuds. Everyone is an individual, and we don’t generalize by race or ethnicity.
  5. We take care of each other. Our group is here for mutual support. We think about how our words and actions affect others.

We look after every member’s comfort and privacy.

What do you need most right now?

Pick up to three.
